Representative Payee for Social Security

We will serve you or your loved on as Representative Payee by being appointed by the Social Security Administration do so. As a Representative Payee we receive Social Security and/or SSI benefits for another (called the beneficiary) who cannot manage or direct someone else to manage his money. The main responsibilities of a Representative Payee are to use the SSA/SSI benefits to pay for the current and foreseeable needs of the beneficiary and to properly save any benefits not needed to meet current needs. A Representative Payee must also keep records of expenses paid. When the SSA requests a report, the Representative Payee must provide an accounting to SSA of how benefits were used or saved.
